Anushka Demanded Rs. 1 crore for bikini act

Yugandhar starring NTR and Jayasudha was the super-hit in middle 70's and 80's(latest hindi version done by shahrukh khan as DON). It is now being remake with Prabhas in NTR role. Anushka, the sensuous siren has agreed to play Jayasudha(which was done by priyanka chopra in latest hindi version DON) part along with her daring appearance in the black bikini.

Reportedly, Anushka was okay with wearing a bikini but agreed to do the scene only if the producers gave her a breathtaking Rs. 1 crore. Sources say the producers agreed without batting an eye-lid.

The treatment of the entire film was very youthful and stylish with a cutting edge to it as appropriate for a mafia movie. Audiences lapped up the razor-sharp cinematography, background music and costumes along with the actors’ sleek good looks and physiques.

The producers of the film are planning to film the movie in a similar manner. Anushka, whose recent sizzling performance in Baladoor had male hearts racing, will no doubt give a great performance as a mafia don’s moll who out to take revenge. She has acted in her one and only Tamil film Rendu opposite Madhavan, which didn’t make much of an impact at the box-office.

Now that Anushka’s demanded and got her Rs. 1 crore, she has become the second heroine since Ileana to reach that figure.

Produced at a whopping budget of Rs 140 crore, Robo is probably the most expensive film ever made in India.

Two years ago, photos of Sivaji’s foreign shoot were also leaked in a similar manner.

Noted Cinematographer Sivakumar turned director with Sowryam starring Gopichand and Anushka. Though this is his first film, he proves his potential and gets good marks as director. His takings are pretty good. Sowryam has plenty of entertainment and action and little of sentiment. In short, the film is a typical Gopichand flick directed by Sivakumar in his style.

Sowryam is about a brother and a sister. They - Vijay (Gopichand) and Divya (Poonam Kaur) become orphans when their rowdy sheeter dad is killed in an encounter. Vijay grows up to become ACP with the support of a police officer (Sarat Babu). As a powerful cop, Vijay puts his energy in controlling Sivaram Gowd (Manoj Jain), who runs bad activities in the city. Problems start for Vijay when Sivaram Gowd comes to know the weak point of Vijay, his sister. How Vijay tackled the problems is the rest of the plot.

Gopichand, as usual, delivered yet another macho performance. One of the highlights in this film is the comedy worked out on him. Comedy scenes involving Gopichand, Ali, Anushka bring out good laughs. Also, scenes in the second half where Gopichand troubles the goons are done in a different style. Also, dance numbers are nicely choreographed for him and he did very good. Chemistry between Gopichand and Anushka also worked out very well. Anushka looked much better in the film. She not only looked good but also did well in the comedy sequences.

Even though Poonam Kaur played key role as Gopichand's sister, she did not have much scope to perform. She utilized the one chance in the climax to perform and she did it very well.

Manoj K. Jain as Sivaram Gowd did excellent job. He transformed himself into the character. Ajay, as son of Sivaram Gowd, did the role in his own style. Ali, Krishna Bhagavan, Raghu Babu did comedy in the film and they are successful in generating laughs. Even though MS Narayana's role is short, he is impressive. Thanikella Bharani, Dharmavarapu, Sudha and others are content in their roles.

Technically, even though the story is not new, it is the screenplay and narration that makes it interesting. Sivakumar's grip on comedy seems to have worked out well. Sequences are nicely interconnected and flow is smooth. It is a good job done by Sivakumar.

Cinematography by Vetri is good. Marthand Venkatesh's editing is slick and paces up the film. Mani Sharma's music is good for songs and excellent for the re-recording (background). Especially, rerecording for Ali's scenes add more humour to the scenes. Dialogs by M Ratnam are good but looks like the dialogs had to take censor cut at places. Action scenes composed by Vijay are good. Sets erected by Vivek are so so.

Overall, the chances are good that Sowryam can turn into another Lakshyam. Climax and the story might stand as negative but they will be overweighed by Positives in the film - good comedy, lead performances, excellent re-recording. Overall, Sowryam is a typical Gopichand styled flick.

Welcome to Sajjanpur

by idleshare.blogspot.com

Appositely mirthful, surprisingly sweet, Welcome to Sajjanpur is one more trenchant piece of work from ace auteur Shyam Benegal. This flick isn't as appealing as worthy to be entitled 'The most dramatic comedy milieu'. It's not just about penning script inclusive of drollery aspects, but has something to a greater extent. Shyam Benegal depicts the present scenario of certain places of coetaneous rural Indian. Stiffly, Shyam spells out the satirical scenario of rural areas like Sajjanpur, where light of resurgence has been thrown people dwelling there. Still the same old superstitious beliefs, class ideologies, pathetic situations of widows, power blackouts and more havoc are prevalent.

Candidly, this film instigates us of far-famed television series Malgudi Days that doesn't fade away from our memories. Much likewise in its motif, Welcome to Sajjanpur has congruous characters of its own sort: a young lad dreaming to be a novelist but posing as letter writer, an intriguing eunuch, a despaired housewife missing her husband, a frustrated army man, a stupid entity seeking for power and that isn't the end. The long queue of unique characters is more and most makes you reflect them with real life hoi pollois.

Not so complicated in its theme, the film is so dewy-eyed with more enjoyable parts narrated with a blend of drama and humor. Shyam Benegal churning out the best exceptional flicks with substantial themes proves of his ability on commercial aspects on the pars. The film has nothing indeed to do with unique ideas, but what makes the film so especial are the personations contrived by auteur. With Bollywood films drenched with bloodbath and profane storylines, Sajjanpur welcomes you for a different tour of a great alleviation as it doesn't carry any of these attributes.

Mahadev (Shreyas Talpade) happens to be the lonesome educated person in the village of Sajjanpur. Dreams about turning into a novelist, but fate let him to pose as letter-writer for all the villagers. Well, you have his perfect ethics of professionalism revealed where he doesn't use ball pens, but only ink pens. But Mahadev doesn't get himself ceased with it, for he pens the most commendable street plays. But, he doesn't want to get stuck up with unwanted hurdles and so remains assertive to a local political ruffian Ram Singh (Yaspal Sharma). Indeed, Ram Singh keeps seeking his help in penning letters of sulfurous words. Sooner, Mahadev realizes of his scrupulous potential of villagers dependent on him. It's now, he starts making use of his talent for something big that leads to bits of unexpected twists in the latter part.

Rigid characters and perfect casting of actors makes the film so energetic. Shreyas Talpade steals the show with his scintillating performance while Amrita Rao doesn't strain herself a lot. Yashpal Sharma, Ravi Kissen, Divya Dutta and others add more colors to the humor part. But, not at all time you feel trickling your ribs with comedy tracks.

Musical score by Shantanu Moitra blended with lyrical lines of Ashok Mishra and Swanand Kirkire is felicitous for your ears. But, are the songs really necessary for this film is a million dollar question and without them, the duration would have been bit reduced. Cinematography grips up your attention, particularly with the colossal shots of scenic ambiance. Nevertheless, Aseem's editing work look fallible at certain points, but it doesn't go so blatant. Dialogues penned by Ashok Mishra is sure to win accolades, but he could sparkled with screenplay, for its drops off with the pace here and there.

On the whole, Welcome to Sajjanpur entertains you with fun and frolic, but not so groovier. It's a chill-pill piece of work that makes you feel, the film is worth watching.

Verdict: A Village-Journey worth it…

Saas Bahu Aur Sensex

by idleshare.blogspot.com

Alas! Her directorial debut 'Chupke Se' was a slipshod piece of work. Well, Sona Urvashi demarcates with Saas Bahu Aur Sensex that perfectly lets her stride, winning laurels for a unique theme. In reality, what's so topping the chart in television channels of India? Saas-bahu show with its high TRPs and marking everyday's sensex graphs. One's passions for either of these two are insatiable.

Fine, it's time for grand fiestas in Bollywood. New themes, bold attempts and great surprises: flicks sans A-rated star-casts and big budgets spelled with top-notched quality have been engrossing us. Rock On, Wednesday and here comes one more colligating along this queue. Not as appealing as the previous releases, But Saas Bahu Aur Sensex has something prodigious for the audiences.

Don't let yourselves with disheveled imaginations that flick centers on just two panoramas: Saas-Bahu shows and Sensex manias. Shona Urvashi has something more indeed of fun, frolic, emotions and congruous characters.

So, everything is fine with Saas Bahu Aur Sensex and where does it get a bit decelerated. A lengthy screenplay taking a very long time to reach its idyllic climax gets you bit dragged. Shona Urvashi moves us along with cool ambience and you are sure to relish it.

With her mother Binita (Kirron Kher) divorcing her husband in Kolkata and heading to Navi Mumbai, Nitya (Tanushree Dutta) seems to be more alienated in the new ambience. Tangled with knots and snarls, the cherubic missy finds relief in one of her neighbors, Ritesh [Ankur Khanna). It's resurgence of new life for her mother Binita too as she is befriended by women in the colony and enjoys her time in kitty parties. Her elatedness continues once she meets Firoz (Farouque Shaikh), a flakey stock broker, who assists her in investing shares left by her husband… Meanwhile, colony ladies envisage about Binita and Firoz. Merely, they realize as she acquaints them all to Firoz and mania of sensex haunts them now.

Here begins the cool-icy ride of rise-fall in sensex, triangular love stories, lives of different families in the colony, one sided love of stock broker and much more.

Phenomenal flick in terms of theme, but certain ascribes lets us feel it's clichéd. The best illustrations would be with the characters of Nitya and Masumeh; stereotypical missies, one with true love and other on the pursuit of wealth. Eloping from the marriage hall, Nitya's love at hidden sight makes your guess right.

Housewives budging from Saas-Bahu shows to sensex are refreshing, but it's so ridiculous to see sensex with 30,000 points in the climax and Shona should have precisely avoided this.

Kirron Kher steals the show with her enchanting performance. Be it her motherly affection or her reactions to various situations; she top-notches with it. Hats off to Farouqe Shaikh for his decent performance and he adds more to the humor part. Tanushree Dutta on her deglamorised role grabs your attentions and so is her naturalistic performance. On the pars, Ankur Khanna does justice to his role.

Getting on with technical aspects, it's the best work from entire team. Be it Rodriguez's cinematography or musical score by Blaaze, Bipin and Randolph, they are most adept. For a great convincing part, you don't have dream sequences or duets and none of the songs last for longer minutes. Rodriguez with his scintillating cinematography delivers the apartment Colony in Mumbai with its best scenic.

On the whole, Saas Bahu Aur Sensex is a great delight with its new genre. Well, it's a exulting fete for miniscule audiences.

Verdict: Bold and the beautiful

Bhumika is one actress who has been very selective with her roles. Not only she has a good success rate but all the films are well acclaimed too. Her latest film Mallepuvvu, naturally, gained more limelight not only for that reason but several others too including Ilayaraja, Samudra, Ramesh Varma factors. Mallepuvvu seem to be loosely based on Iranian film Baaran. However, the writers are successful in adapting it to regional nativity.

Koti (Murali) works in a construction company. Malli (Bhumika) arrives there in the disguise of a guy. After realizing that Malli is a girl and not a guy, Koti falls in love with her. Meanwhile, police and other folks, who are in search for Malli, get hold of her. Koti ends up in jail after he attempts to free her from those guys. Who is Malli? Why is she in disguise? What happened to her finally? Is Koti successful in her love? Watch the film on silver screen.

Bhumika has already proved herself in different genres. She is paving her way to becoming an accomplished and seasoned actress. Coming to Mallepuvvu, she does not have even a single dialog in the entire first half. She has to only express and she did it with ease. Even though this is first film (as hero) for Murali, who played Koti, he acted very well. He seems a very familiar face on screen. He is for sure impressive in this role.
Director Samudra also played a supporting role int he film. Kovai Sarala, Abhinaya Sri, RK, Suman Shetty, Kadal Sukumar and others added their contribution in the cast.

Story is crux of this film. It is inspired from Baaran (Iranian film). However, Ramesh Varma, writer, is successful in translating to our nativity. Screenplay and hence narration are pretty good.

One of the technical highlights of the film is cinematography. Anil Bhandari proves his skill with the camera and keeps up the name of his guru (Sekhar V. JOseph). On the other hand, music and dialogs in the film could have been better. Ilayaraja composed music. 2 songs are good. Rest are average. Background score could have been better too. Dialogs penned by Vemagiri (new writer) are also not effective.

Samudra is a hard worker. He works to get the output he desires, no matter what. This film Mallepuvvu is different from all the films he made so far. However, Samudra was cautious and skillful enough with his work to bring on the required sensitivity as the name suggests. The screenplay seems more refined compared to his previous films.

Even though there is not much in the first half rather than creating curiosity factor, second half gets good marks in how those questions are unraveled. Overall, Bhumika, Samudra, Ramesh Varma's Mallepuvvu is different with the story and decent film to watch out for.

Madan, writer of Aa naluguru and who has Pellaina Kotha to his directorial credits, directed his second film Gunde Jallumandhi with Udaykiran and Aditi Sharma. In this film, Madan takes on the feeling of love. Even though there are some downs, Madan is overall successful is what he wanted to say.

Coming to the story, Neelu (Aditi Sharma) hates men. she has her own reasons for it. She makes up a person - Rajesh and pretends to be in love with him. Meanwhile, Balaraju (Udaykiran) enters the same college. Neelu and Balaraju fall in love with each other. Now enter the scene is the Rajesh character. Neelu herself is shocked. Now, how did Neeru survive Rajesh and did Balaraju get to win her should be seen on the screen.

As far as performances are concerned, every one is content in their roles. Udaykiran seemed to have put on some weight. Even though debut film, Aditi Sharma acted as seasoned artist. She looked beautiful in some angles. Special mention worth is for the character played by Ajay. Even though the character span is short, he is really impressive in that role. (Madan is now planning a film Eela with Ajay in the lead). Comedy in the film is better compared to Pellaina Kothalo but is limited.

Technically, cinematography by J.Prabhakar Reddy is excellent. He gave good visual. Part of the credit for the lead pair looking good will go him. Title song is impressive but the rest will just pass on. background score is content. K.V.krishna Reddy's editing is also content.

Madan provided story, screenplay, dialogs and direction for this film. Madan did justice to all the departments. The film will surely be entertained by the youth.

First half of the film runs with good tempo. In the second half, there are a few scenes that feel dragged. If some entertainment is added in the second half, Gunde Jallumandhi would have been lot more btter. One thing is sure though. This film will give enough breath to Udaykiran.

Overall, Gunde Jallumandhi is a decent entertainer and can be seen once.

Meanwhile, 4 friends - Ganesh, Swami, Gopichand and Ajay - are on their way to Hyderabad but get themselves involved into strange situations including a murder. They try to escape and come across something that shocks them. What is it? What happened to Saroja? Who kidnapped her? Watch the plot on the screen.

Vaibhav as Gopi, Cheran as Swamy are impressive in their roles. So are the guys who played Ajay and Ganesh in the film. Prakash Raj lived in his role, as usual. Srihari is impressive as cop. Kajal Agarwal is limited to just one song and Nikita plays a vamp. Brahmanandam is successful in getting a few laughs.

The entire film runs in the span of one night. Even though the film starts at an average pace, it gets really thrilling when the 4 friends start their journey. Director is successful in maintaining the tempo with tight narration. However, the revealation in the plot might leave the audience wondering on why some one had to resort to kidnapping for doing good to the society. Biggest drawbacks for the film are loop holes and glitches in the story. Screenplay is pretty tight, though.

Yuvan Shankar Raja's music is content. Choreography in the song.. Maa Mitrudiki is impressive. All Tamil TV Artists appear in that song.

Overall, if you are up for variety and novel movies, give this a shot. Screenplay is pretty tight but the loop holes in the story are a turn down.

However, his second film Mayabazar failed both with critics and box office. The film in review, Ashta Chemma, has good comedy. Mohan Krishna succeeded to the extent of generating good laughs in the film.

Story in brief: Lavanya (Swathi) is a big fan of Mahesh Babu and only dreams of getting married to him. All attempts by her aunt (Jhansi) to get Lavayna married goes futile because of Lavanya's admiration for Mahesh Babu. Since Mahesh Babu is married, Lavanya agrees to marry but his name should be Mahesh babu. Anand (Srinivas Avasarala) is the neighbour of Lavanya and takes up the responsibility of finding a Mahesh for Lavanya. He finds one Mahesh (Nani). Lavanya and Mahesh fall in love. All is well that ends well. But not at this point in the story. It turns out that Mahesh's original name is Rambabu. Did Lavanya and Rambabu get married? What is the ploys done by Anand? Watch it on the screen for the plot.

Swathi is impressive in her role as Lavanya, a die hard fan of Mahesh Babu. Her looks aptly fitted the character of the role where she had to be naughty. Nani, who made his debut, is also impressive. However, at times he reminds of Sumanth in expressions and even in voice. Highlight and key character in the film is that of Anand played by Srinivas Avasarala, who also made debut. Forget about the basics, he really rocked with his timing. Bhargavi, Hema, Thanikella Bharani, Sivannarayana, Jhansi, Vasu, Goparaju and others are content in their roles.

Indraganti Mohan Krishna provided story, screenplay, dialogs and direction for the film. He is successful partly. The reason is that the story is thin lined and hence constrains the scope. Narration is entertaining in the first half but when it comes to second half, there is nothing else to run the story on and hence becomes weak at times. Story has some similarities to old Bollywood flick Jayabadhuri's Guddi. It is the dialogs that Mohankrishna did a commendable job with. He should be applauded for that.

Is it me or the touch of the director with Telugu literature; some flair of Gireesam (kanyasulkam) can be seen in the characterization of Anand. It came out very good.

Music by Kalyani malik is a plus. Adinchi Ashta Chamma, Hello Antoo, Thidatara songs are very good. P.G.Vinda's cinematography is impressive. Marthand Venkatesh's editing is content. As usual, lyrics penned by Sitarama Sastry are very good. Choreography by Nobel is good and movements are decent, contrary to the present trend.

First half of the film is dedicated in showcasing the admiration (fanaticism) that Lavanya has for Mahesh Babu and then Anand introducing her to Rambabu. This part of the film passes on quickly as it has good comedy. When it came to the second half, there is nothing much to carry in terms of concept. Hence a bit of drag is felt. Thanikella Bharani and Hema's track gets a few laughs. And also there is one flashback episode of Rambabu that had good potential of generating hilarious comedy. Somehow, that track failed to generate so much.

First half is good and second half feels drag at times. Overall, Ashta Chemma can be an enjoyable fare.

Ankit Pallavi and Friends, as the title suggests, is a youth entertainer. Well! That is the present trend too. Hari Yeleti, who made debut as director, seems to have taken off from Sekhar Kammula left in Happy Days. Happy Days film portrays the life of a group of Engineering going students. Hari takes it from there and shows that life can enjoyed after college too. And Hari took 5 characters to etch out his ponit. Every human being wants to enjoy an accomplished life and what the 5 friends did to reach that point is all Ankit Pallavi and Friends about.

Ankit (Nikhil), Pallavi (Megha), Raja (Surya), Gopi (Pradeep), and Sunil (venu) are friends. They all are in the same neighbourhood. All the 5 have different characters and their own way of looking at life. Ankit always looks at enjoying to that moment. He wants to become a music director in life. Gopi aims at going abroad after Engineering. Raja is a kind hearted person who will jump to the service of anyone and Sunil is in a state of confusion waiting for his father to start his business. Ankit and Pallavi are in love. On one particular clash of egoes, Ankit and Pallavi part ways. What did Ankit do? Did he win his love? Watch it on the screen.

Performance wise, Nikhil has lot of ease. He showed ample of it in Happy Days and he proves it yet again here. His dialog timing, expressions all are original. However, smoking and drinking scenes seemed a bit artificial. Megha Burman is content in her role. But she delivers good performance when she realizes her mistake. Among all the friends, Sunil's role generated good comedy.

Good aspect in the film is that comedy is all interleaved in the film. No seperate tracks, no deviation from the original plot. Comedy track among the friends saying Murder for 100 Rs and Kiss for 100 Rs will generate good laughs. Also, the director drives home the point on the present trend of music.

Vinu Thomas's music is good. Vocals in Dost he Dost are supressed by the music. Nalo Pranama song is pleasing to ears. Dialogs are good at times.

Even though this is his first film, Hari Yeleti did a good job with direction. Characterizations and his perspectives on commitment, patience and love are narrated situational. Overall, the film is decent entertainer and will cater to A center. How it will fare in B,C centers should be seen.

Quality of films is growing consistently in Bollywood and some of the films are on par with Hollywood; be it technical or conceptual. A Wednesday, that is scheduled to release on 5th of September, falls in that league. The run time of the film is 1 hr 43 minutes. Neeraj Pandey's narration and screenplay glues the audience to the seat. The film has no formulaic ingredients such as songs, comedy etc. With electrifying performances from the cast, tight screenplay and unpredictable twists give the film the required boost.

Prakash Rathod (Anupam Kher) is police commissinor. One wednesday he gets an anonymous call warning of bombs planted at several places in the city and demanding release of 4 terrorists. Arif Khan (Jimmy Shergil), Jai Singh (Amir Bashar) are appointed to handle the case. Right at the moment when the terrorists are released, an unpredictable event happens. What is it and if the militants are really released should be seen on the screen.

Well! Casting has seasoned actors Anupam Kher and Naseerudhin Shah. Any thing that one talks about these two accomplished actors is less. Undoubtedly, the characters that these two handled in this film will find a place in their top films list. In fact, the way the character is moulded of Naseerudhin Shah in the film reminds of typical Morgan Freeman characters in Hollywood. Particularly in Climax, Naseerudhin's performance is mind blowing. Deepal Shah as TV reporter, seema Malik, Parthu, Veerendar Saxena and others did justice to their roles.

A while ago, Nasserudhin Shah commented that he immediately accepted this role as he did not find this kind of character in the recent years. The credits given to Neeraj Pandey by Nasserudhin Shah and Anupam Kher turn into reality on screen. Excellent script and similarly marvellous narration complimented by apt dialogs, cinematography and scintillating background score, crisp editing make this film a must watch.

Overall, with the finest actors of Indian Cinema, Immensely talented writer and director delivered a honest film.

Baladhoor Movie Review

Baladhoor - boring mix of sentiment and action scenes
by http://idleshare.blogspot.com

Movie Rating: 5/10

Working for a prestigious banner like Suresh Productions is a great opportunity and Raviteja got one such chance and pairing up with Anushka with whom he gave a hit like 'Vikramarkudu' is like a boon for him. Above all, the film has another highlight in the form of Krishna, who played an important role and he appeared on the screen after a long time especially in a full time role. On the other hand, the film has a director like Udayshankar, who earlier gave hit like 'Kalisundam Raa…' for the same banner. There were lots of expectations on the film but the audiences felt disappointed in the wake poor storyline with routine commercial formula.

Chanti (Raviteja) is a boy who did not spare anyone who resorts to injustice and who disregards women. His father is Purushottam (Chandramohan), who used to assist his elder brother Ramakrishna (Krishna) to run a real estate business. Theirs is a Rama-Lakshmana kind of relationship. At the same time, Chanti has the highest regard to his paternal uncle (pedananna) and could not spare anyone who do not respect to him. Once Chanti goes to their native village along with the entire family and comes across Bhanumati (Anushka). Bhanumati loses her heart to Chanti, when the latter thrashes goons who try to challenge Ramakrishna. Incidentally her father (Ahuti Prasad) too has high regard to Ramakrishna. Ramakrishna faces enmity from Pasupati (Pradeep Rawat) in business. The latter hatches many plans to defeat Ramakrishna but fails in every attempt. Once Chanti's sister in law faces problem with Pasupati's son and Chanti thrashes him. Irked over this, Pasupati's brother-in-law tries to attack Ramakrishna and he also gets a sound thrashing from Chanti. As a result, the engagement of Ramakrishna's daughter gets spoiled and the alliance breaks. Reacting to this, Purushottam necks out Chanti. How Chanti sets the things right? Did he able to convince the family who was supposed to accept his sister as their daughter-in-law? How Chanti thwarted the attempts of Pasupati to attack on the real estate business of Ramakrishna? Did Chanti accept Bhanumati's love? Answers to all these questions form part of the climax.

PERFORMANCE:

Raviteja's performance was not that energetic like his earlier films. However, he did his best in the hero's role. Moreover, it is a tailor-made role for him and hence there is no scope to change his body language for him. The film has his mark of instant comedy. Even the script writers too penned the scenes and dialogues to suit him well. Anushka looked quite slim and continued to expose her beauty to the maximum extent. At times, it appeared a little overdose too. The director and the choreographers chose to show her belly button and the waist to appease the mass audiences. Comedy by Sunil is okay, while the comedy track penned for Brahmanandam failed to tickle the funny bone of audiences. Krishna, who appeared on the screen in a little lengthy role after a long gap, remained a highlight for the film. Others like Chandramohan, Sameer, Raja Ravindra and Raviprakash are okay in their roles. Pradeep Rawat and Subbaraju showed their routine villainy.

TECHNICAL:

Radhakrishnan who gave the best music for 'Chandamama' failed to give catchy tunes to a mass hero like Raviteja. Except a couple of songs like 'Tella Cheera Okay…' and another song, none of the tunes were that good. The film runs in a commercial formula and the director could not perfectly match the sentiment and action scenes. The script has no novelty and the movement of the film was also not perfect. There were several abrupt beginnings and endings for many scenes. In a bid to highlight Raviteja's mass image, the script writer chose tailor-made scenes for the film which has no novelty. Even the action scenes were not that stylish and the audiences got a feel of watching a film in 80s and 90s. The romantic scenes between the hero and heroine, the timing of songs were also not apt. However, camera work by Balamurugan is somewhat good and the locations chose for the film are a little new as none of the Telugu films were shot in those locales earlier.

Remark:

With no freshness in the story, the audiences felt bored. The film appeared as a mixture of two, three films that came up on the Telugu screen earlier. But for Anushka's glamour and Raviteja mark comedy there is hardly anything to watch in the film. However, the film will have a chance of above average revenue in other centres and not in 'A' grade cities. Udayshankar's slipshod screenplay and direction resulted in a poor run of the film. Audiences were heard saying none of the songs are good and the Anushka's heavy dose of exposure is unnecessary and unwanted.

Cast: Raviteja, Anushka, Krishna, Chandramohan, Sunil, LB Sriram, Pradeep Rawat, Subbaraju, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Ahuti Prasad, Sivaprasad, Sameer, Raja Ravindra, Suman Shetty, Mallikarjuna Rao, Raviprakash, Gundu Hanumanta Rao, Kadambari Kiran, Tirupati Prakash, Sumitra, Bhargavi and others
